   Connecting the spaces

   An LDK and a bedroom that can be divided by a sliding door. To keep the bed from looking lived-in, closing the door is easy. But the space should still feel wide, so the two rooms share colour and texture, and are joined by in-between functions: a lounge chair and a bookshelf. That care alone gives the space more room.

   A student dorm. You study, of course, but you also learn a great deal from living. If that is every day, of course it is better to feel at ease. Pale wood and a Nordic colour scheme gently join the ground-floor hall, the living rooms on each floor, the study space, and the kitchen. I would have liked to spend my student years here.

   A cafe you settle into

   At the very end of a local shopping street, there is a cafe that lets you exhale. It used to be a karaoke snack bar. The renovation kept that layout. The counter, the tables, and the benches are all handmade by a local carpenter. Nothing loud, just a place to settle. At night, looking in from outside, you want to go in. That is the kind of space it is.
